Thanks. Photos as well

My only issue now is fitting the front number plate holder as it needs to bend quite a lot to fit correctly.

warm it on a radiator, (not really hot) will make it a bit more flexible.

The rest of it wasn't so clean.

I only washed it off to ask Skoda why that despite them making the effort to provide dedicated mounting holes one of their grease monkey's decide to self-tapper the number plate screws straight through the bodywork. Twice! :giggle:

Yikes! I reckon you'll be needing a new boot lid there.

ahhhhh. That was going to be my next question !!

I was lucky, Skoda UK agreed and had it repaired at one of ther approved bodyshops (I only noticed outside of the warranty period and was unable to 100% prove it was the supplying dealer - although the original plates had to my knowledge never been removed from new).

It does make you wonder though what happens when you drop your pride and joy off for a service if they can't do something like attach number plates properly.

I replaced the supplied plates a year after I got my car and I was worried sick when I came to actually removing them - it was soon after you posted those above pictures.

I'm pleased to say that my local main dealer do obviously have some people with a little sense - mine used the pre-drilled holes.
