Spark plus for VRS

Featured Replies

Hi guys

Going to get a new set of plugs for my VRS and its about time i changed them

Are they NGK PFR6Q's? I think im right

also any difference between them and iridium ones? And some people say if the car is remapped you should get a cooler plug....any truth in this?

Thanks guys

Alex

oh and forgot to ask NGK are the recommended ones by VW aren't they?

I have standard plugs in my mapped vrs and never had an issue, i would be more worried about coilpacks packing up

Standard fit are pfr6q yes. If your remapped consider going a stage colder and fit pfr7q.

NGK PFR6Q is the recommended one by VW

cheers guys....may be a daft question but why the suggestion of a colder plug for a mapped car?

less chance of pre det on higher boost setups

what are the standard plug for the BAM 225?

would seem strange putting a colder one in if the PFR6Q works fine in it???

Think you might be referring to ngk bkr7e.

These are not actually the completely wrong plug as a more popular choice for mapped cars as mentioned earlier in the thread.

I have these in mine and work great..
