The reception on my 54plate vrs is very poor, looks like it needs a new aerial base, but what's best to go for another standard base or swap it for something else???????

Are you still using the standard head unit? Have you tried an inline signal amp?

No not anymore using a pioneer unit, exactly the same with either unit, no am reception, & sometimes poor reception on local stations on fm
