Bluetooth Fabia Monte Carlo

Featured Replies

Sorry if this has already been covered.

I have a 2013 silver monte carlo which is just awesome. I dont have the factory fit Skoda bluetooth as i didnt want to wait the 3 to 4 months build time. Its not MAXI DOT and ive got the SWING radio.

I desperately need Bluetooth though. Part of me wishes i had of waited now, but never mind.....

Since ive been looking at this for the past 2 weeks im still no closer to deciding on what to do, so just looking for others advice

Easiest thing is to by the Kenwood DNX521 which fits directly into the car but its way too much.

Ive even looked at the cheaper Kenwood DNX520VBT but even this is around £600 from ebay.

The RNS-315 a unit which has bluetooth builtin is also a tad expensive again around £500 - £600 ebay.

Only leaves a few options really, Retro fit Skoda factory fit bluetooth, Parrot or the IO aftermarket kits.

My preferred option would be factory fit but im not sure. i know places that install them, but as the monte carlo doesnt have steering wheel buttons, how would i start a call or end one? i also dont have MAXI DOT so can you get a factory fit to work without the MAXI DOT

I know the IO Play 2 gets excellent reviews but it has two units that need to be mounted to the dash, someone told me that the Parrot is only one. Has anyone used either of these before?

Parrot kits work just fine. My mate fits car audio and always fits parrots. He's based in Kent and does private work if you were close.

Thanks for the reply, I live in Yeadon, Leeds. a tad too far.

would you know which Parrot they usually install? Assuming its not as simple as literally as Plug in Play

Thanks Again

I can ask him. Not sure, think its stereo out and wires connected etc then set up.

Halfords probably supply and fit fairly cheap? Or a decent stereo shop.
