Are there any pictures of the passenger airbag in fully blown state?

Does it touch the A Pillar, the windscreen of top of the dash? (not to cause injury when objects such as sat nav or other object(s) are mounted on the A pillar, windscreen or top of dashboard.

How far out to the sides does it explode?

Hi fabia55, I've just scanned this little photo from a brochure showing the two main dash bags. Apologies for the slightly poor quality of the pic.

.but it's a bit difficult to tell whether the passenger air bag would hit a sat nav if I mounted it on top of the dashboard and whether it touches the a pillar (as I want to put some speakers there)

Might not be of help but there's a crashed Monte on ebay and although the photo inside is taken from the drivers side I'd guess by the airbag 'door' deployed position it's going to get very close to the mentioned locations.

it looks like the passenger airbag touches some of the A pillar about two 3rds up.
