Anyone had problems with garage your insurance has sent you too?

Whst happened and what did you do?

Yes, they did a shoddy job which was unacceptable, coffee on the seats etc, a real towrag operation, I demanded it was rectified with the proper parts at a garage my garage, the insurance company inspected the car and agreed for it to be sorted at a garage of my choice.

Ever since, I have always refused their own option and stipulated my choice of repair shop/garage.

Unfortunately i have to pay an extra £250 on top of excess to use my own garage. And with shoddy investigation job my insurance is doin it looks like i wont get it back. So for now am stuck with a petrol drinking courtesy car for a 56mile round trip everyday and then i probably will not be happy with the work and have to wait even longer.
