Black turbo suet on back of tail gate

Featured Replies

Is this common after a couple days running, or are the oil seals in the turbo going?

Pretty sure its a very common thing for suet. Even more so after a map.

Suet?! I put that in my dumplings last weekend, whats it doing on the back of your cars? :D

If you've got a load of suet on your boot, are you sure you didn't reverse into a bakery :think:post-73816-0-64568300-1365774044_thumb.jpg

or is it soot? Try putting some of these in each full tank post-73816-0-37541500-1365774136_thumb.png

(Do NOT put those in each tank full)

I didnt even notice i read it and registerd as soot and even wrote suet myself :S i must be tired, i blame my early shift today.

I was going to say soot is normal on the back of these cars but never seen suet spread on the back lol !

I reduced the soot levels on my rear end by doing the elephant mod. It hardly has any soot on the rear end now even after a good thrashing. Best mod ever, do a search in general maintenance and all will be explained.

Lol, it's my iPhone haha. Cheers guys I have been at work since 3am and am nakerd

Is it really worth doing then the elephant mod? As it does get on my nerves Il clean the car and a few days later back bumper covered in soot, and it's worse if it's wet.

And my Milltek doesn't stay as shiny as I'd like either lol.

Does it really cut down the smoke that much?

My elephant mod has made no difference.

I wouldn't expect it to Joe, crank case vapour should have no effect on soot levels really

Didnt think it would. I have an egr delete aswell but that should make it worse if anything as it all going straight out instead of some back in for a second time.

Well yeah, I've given up caring about smoke, fabias shape just pulls all the dirt and soot up the back of the car, it's unavoidable really.

Just don't look in your rear view as its all whipped up swirling around lol

Have a yellow car and you give up in the first month lol.

I get no soot on the back of mine as the tips are downswept and gases get fired out of the eddy current. It's the tradeoff of a shiny exhaust! That said I still want one :sun:
