Airbag light...

Featured Replies

Done a quick search but couldn't find anything similar. Probably because no one has done anything as stupid...

Cut a long story short, interior lights were not working which I traced to a blown fuse. Me having no mechanical knowledge thought if I take one from somewhere else for 2 mins just to see if it was just a fuse blown, it would make no difference.

I then retuned the fuse back from where I got it. Which was the airbag fuse. I then turned the car on to go get said fuses which threw up a light on the dash for the airbag.

Can I just plug it into a tester and turn the light off and will it stay off if I do this?

Sorry in advance for my stupidity. Lol

Try resetting (clearing) the Error Code using a VCDS Cable, should hopefully sort it out.

Did you turn tbe ignition switch with the airbag fuse out? That's probably what triggered the dash light and error code.

If all you did was pull the fuse for the airbag system out then clearing the error code with VCDS will clear the dash light.
