knocking noise on full lock

Featured Replies

Hi people

Seem to have a knocking noise on full lock, more specifically, on right lock, over a bump when turning.

I explained the situation and the

What kind of knock is it? Could it be something like the power steering pump working?

Rob.

I also have something like that. Never thought it could be due to the lock, anyway I have the auto-lock turned on at 15 km/h so I drive all the time with the lock on. I thought it was a cable in the door and I opened the door sealed every cable. I did not open the inner face of the door to get acces to the window so it could be something on the other side. "break on through to the other side ...". I have a guess it also could be something in the pillar like the seatbelt drive or the seatbelt top link since it has to have some liberty for rolling and tuning to adjust to the shoulder position. I'll try taking off the auto-lock and see then.

thanks for your reply rob.

no im sure is coming from the suspension mounts area.

I'd advise a set of the modded arb links, you can never tell that they are knackered on the ramp but cause a knocking over bumps. Our modded one end in a 'G' now.
