fuel pressure drop?

Featured Replies

Just fitted an inline fuel pressure gauge just wondering if pressure should be dropping to 0 overnight? When i start the car pressure goes to 3.5 bar and rises to 4 when i pull the vac hose from the FPR which i believe is normal for 4bar reg.

when you open the drivers foor the fuel pump primes, I wonder if this would take the fuel pressure from the rail away?

Not sure mate? just wondered if it was normal, having a few issues with the the car, seems to bog down from time to time, changed coils, plugs, fairly recent genuine MAF, no boost leaks no codes :(

Have you upgraded your fuel pump? I think standard vrs pumps are 3 bar as some people fit leon cupra pumps to achieve 4 bar along with the regulator. I may well be wrong here though. Also been a few people with the same kinda issue and replacing the fuel pump has fixed it.

Has owt changed, starting problems?

Yes upgraded to 4 bar pump a while ago. No starting probs at all, starts spot on every time. Engine note seems to change when it happens
