Which coilovers?

Featured Replies

Been looking at coilovers as the handling is a little bit on the soft side for my liking....

what do you guys recommend for the octy vRS?

I've been looking at KW's... probably varient 2, but maybe varient 3 if they are worth the extra?

Kw varient 1- Adjustable Height - Fixed Rate Damping.

So the 2's are made by koni then? I've not really heard of KW before, are they new?

would it be worth getting a sump guard fitted?

Koni only supply the dampers for V2....V3 has KW dampers.

No need to fit a sump guard unless you go to the lowest setting.

I have mine set at "2 fingers" between arch and tyre and this is fine for speed bumps. "1 finger" and you'll find that you'll catch the lower suspension arm if parking on kerbs.

Also you should remember not to go too low as you want to keep the drive shaft as parallel to the road as possible or prepare for new ones. Too low will also not give enough suspension travel and you may find it too bump especially on a road with dips.

Probably would handle pretty good on a super smooth track though. :D

go for it Mark....you know lowing makes sence
