Fabia Vrs tdi strange window problem

Featured Replies

Hi all,

New here so go easy on me =P

Ive been searching the forums for a while via a google and nothing seems to match my problem exactly.

Please direct me to the relevant thread if anyone knows of it.

My windows work! Both driver and passenger. Although passenger can't be opened from the driver side.

My main problem is that after about 5-10 minutes of driving, the windows just stop working mid journey.

Only way to activate them again is restarting engine.

Anyone here that has experienced these sort of problems?

Any information is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Yes, Had exactly that problem on Saturday. However before that all the windows had stopped working. I meant to get them fixed and then the drivers side started working again but as you say the passenger one would not open from the drivers side. Last week they all started working again and on Saturday they all stopped only start again when I turned locked and unlocked the car. I suspect over the winter damp has entered and got into the electrics. As the weather has turned warmer things have started drying out and its started working again but with a few niggles. It may need a new drivers window switch.
