skoda rns 510 columbus

Featured Replies

hey all,

a quick question, just got the missus a jetta 2010, it happens to come with a kenwood DNX520VBT, she finds it too complicated would like to swap with my rns 510 Columbus from my Octavia that is gone now, the new octy has got a bolero installed in it, I would also like to give the kenwood a try looks much more fancier lol,,

so, is it anyways possible to do the swap, considering that both units are somehow related to the VAG family or is it easier to get her a VW rns 510

thank you

yep, should be no problem putting the kenwood into the skoda and rns510 into the jetta. might need a different dash surround but otherwise should be plug and play. kenwood might not integrate with the car as well as oe stuff - ie climate pop ups etc.

You would need the codes though I would think?

it has turned out to be a bit more complicated as I opened it up, the kenwood has a smaller socket at the back which the skoda quadlock connector wont go into and on the jetta the quadlock oem connector has been wired to a smaller connector to fit kenwood, and boy oh boy is the wiring complicated on the jetta,, its nothing like fitting the Columbus in my prevous octy ( a simple plug and play)

if you want to sell the bolero, i could be interested
