Hi All - Skoda Octavia L+K

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Im from Berkshire, just purchased my first Skoda,

SKoda Octavia 1.9 TDI 110BHP 2002 Laurin Klement - Edition

Love the specs on the car with all the refinements.

However i am in second thoughts of changing the bumpers, rear lights, alloys and exhaust and steering wheel to a VRS to give it some muscle look. What do you guys think?

Also need to sort out cheap parts off a VRS if i am to do this. Even thinking of a remap as 110BHP may not be potent enough for my foot. Although not sure as i have not driven it much yet. Waiting for end of april to get new tax.

Hi and welcome aboard.

Welcome to Briskoda. :) The cheapest route to take would be to sell the L&K and buy a vRS. The L&K is a desirable car if in good condition, but would likely have little value if modified along the lines you are considering. Why not get it remapped and leave it at that?

interesting point DGW. I prefer the TDI engine as oppose to a juicy petrol, although all the looks went to the VRS with spec (apart from heated seats). Probably good idea in getting a remap from 110-130. Although i havent given it a motorway run to see how strong the engine is.
