ABS ASR Lights

Featured Replies

Last night for no reason my abs and asr lights stayed on when I started my car. The cars breaks are still working fine. Does anyone have any ideas. Also is there a program and a cable that could buy to plug in and diagnose faults myself?

Thanks

I'm sure this is the symptoms of ABS wheel speed sensors. I've had two go but can't remember if one of the lights flash (I think not...) Use VCDS/VAG Com or fault code reader to diagnose which side and then replace. Lights will go off and all is good again

Had this problem a while ago, restarted the car and it went away then came back later, turned out to be a faulty sensor, get VAGCOM on to check which side its on and have it replaced if thats the fault

I have had this twice before, both ASR and ABS lights come on at the same and both times it was the speed sensor failure. You can knock the lights out but they come back on again.
