Interest in my 323mm LCR Brembo kit?

Featured Replies

Just wondering if anyone would be interested in my Brembo kit?

Its the standard LCR setup - 323mm 4 pot calipers, and will come with discs and ds2500 pads, carriers and hoses - basically everything apart from brake fluid. Won't be new by any means but should have some life left. Discs are EBC ultimax grooved (only, not drilled)

Calipers would benefit from a good overhaul to be honest. I gather the seals and overhaul kit isn't too much money, and I would also get them repainted as although I have done the refurb wet-sand and relacquering a couple of times, they don't look very good.

They still work obviously, else I wouldn't have used them on track yesterday, but I think they need a little TLC before being refitted.

Price? Well I am not sure what they are worth. Looked on Ebay and there aren't any for sale at all. I am going to provisionally say £400 for the whole lot - They are worth (in my mind) £500 just for fully working good condition calipers/carriers/hoses. This will include used discs and pads too.

Pics (might not be up to date - just scanned my photobucket for anything I can find)

Thats why there are none on ebay! They usually go quickly

Out of interest what are you replacing them with and why ?

Replacing with a 6 pot D2 330mm kit. Mainly as I think they will be better (better be for £1,050!) and also because I believe caliper clearance will be better so no need for shims.

The D2 kit is also very well made from what I have read about them, and the brembos are in need of an overhaul. As to overhaul myself it would mean time off the road, I elected to buy new and sell the old complete kit on the basis of it needing work. The new prospective owner has already purchased bolt & seal kit to my knowledge, and I assume will also be refurbing the caliper itself back to glorious red! (or vRS green perhaps, dunno)

afaik the D2 kit is the same as the k-sport kit, and they get good reviews. The only downside to the basic kits (I think you have paid extra anyway looking at the price you paid) is the standard pads they come with are fit for the bin, they have no place on a performance brake kit.

Anyway, it would be good to hear some feedback on them, when you have fitted them and given them some testing :)

Overhaul kit purchased and planning on painting them vRS green like rear there going to look mint but I need to stop spending now as I've spent a fortune lately

Hmm, I was thinking of sending mine off for a refurb, but might consider upgrading too and sell my existing Brembo GTs as they seem to be popular. :)

Jason, any recommendations? Where did you get yours, etc?
