Service Indicator keeps showing!Any ideas?

Featured Replies

Have serviced my Octavia 1.9 pd about four times now and have reset the service indicator via Autel or from dash successfully

After the most recent service the service indicator keeps reappearing after about 1000 miles no matter what I do to reset it.

I even done a extra oil chane as a precaution but it keeps appearing. No faults showing on Autel either.

Anyone have any ideas?

Shameless bump!

Hi

Daft question but does yours have the maxidot fitted?

The dealer has reset mine several times and every time I check how long I have to the next service, am on variable, is says "service now". I check by putting the key into the ignition, position 2, whilst holding in the trip button.

I am pretty sure it is supposed to tell me how long til the next service in days and miles however it does not seem to work? The dealer has tried several times and now says it is normal when compared to other cars?

I am not convinced personally, but just wondered if it was a similar thing?

It's not maxidot. I still haven't tracked what is causing it. Next thing to try is to take the battery off the car and try and reset the whole system.
