Vibratechnics Upper Gearbox Mount

Featured Replies

Yes, I've bought one, its gonna vibrate. That's that out of the way.

Has anyone fitted one? How is the installation, I believe you retain a part of the standard mount? Should have mine tomorrow and fit this weekend.

Will report back!

I had the full set of mounts on my golf mk4 tdi!

Bet you dont last a week with it!

It is beyond rediculous on a derv tbh

It's arrived, going in tomorrow or Sunday morning :)

Book dentist for monday to replace fillings

Got one on my polo gti. Easy to fit in under an hour. Vibrations arent bad on mine but it is a petrol.

Vibration shouldn't be too bad people awere by them on the seat site

Forgive me here but, why are you fitting it?

What do you expect to gain from it?

Good luck, thanks :)

I am still using top mounts from when my car was a PD100 :D They're not the ones which take a lot of abuse, and it is more critical from a performance P.O.V to change the lower dogbone mount, as that's the one which moves about a lot. The top mounts don't do as much.

My standard one is knackered and my lower bush is already upgraded.

May as well replace with a better part, it should still make a difference, how noticeable that will be u will report back tomorrow :)

Actually replacing the standerd mounts with better is a very good upgrade.

You won't gain as of such but makes things alot smoother keeps hopp down to a minimum helps put the power you have down. Also puts less strain on things like drive shafts coolant pipes and wires that move with the engine.

It's defo an upgrade worth doing if and when ur cars become more powerfull than standerd :)

Nice one, let us know how you get on then!

Well it's done, the mount isn't a straight bolt on though...the standard one has threaded round nuts that bolt through the side of the chassis, but the vibratechnics doesn't have this and they only give you bolts, no nuts!

So I finally found a couple of m8 nuts and bolted it up.

First impressions are its great! The vibes are far less than what I had with the super pro dogbone bush! The engine no longer try's to launch itself out of the bay, the big knock under power has gone too.

Here's the state of the rubber in my old mount.

Sounds like a good upgrade! How much was it Josh?

£150 mate!!

Ouch looks like a great bit of kit though. Absolutely love how far your going with this Fabia!

we did a group buy on uk polos and paid £230 for both the cambelt end mount and the gearbox.

mine came with all necessary nuts and bolts

Dark side developments updated just today to say they have

"Vibra Technics Engine and Gearbox Mounts for Seat Ibiza / VW Polo / Skoda Fabia"

Gearbox mount is £118 and possibly plus vat and delivery.

Yeah plus vat and delivery, about the same as what I paid mate

I have both the vibratechnics engine mounts and was surprised at the vibrations, it was not as bad as i thought it would be. avoid the dogbone mount tho thats shockingly bad lol

Yeah think ill order the cambelt side come payday!

Steering well clear of that dogbone lol
