Boost Log - Any thoughts?

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

I have been having some trouble with my car, went into limp mode once recently (was doing it much more before, but that was a faulty boost sensor which has been replaced), and the cruise control stops working sometimes. I have a sense that the power might be down every now and then, but unsure. Could use some advice from the more knowledgeable, before I start replacing parts.

I have attached a boost log (NB: I have multiplied the duty cycle by 10 so it can be better seen on the figure). She seems to be underboosting and overboosting, which is somewhat odd . She is hitting 2988 while 2868 is being requested. At idle 984 is requested, and she is producing 1068. Something is going on with the duty cycle as it drops slightly, and wondering if it should be higher. She has the 1.8 225 MAF, and I have stripped the intercooler pipes today and cleaned them. I'd be surprised if there is a boost leak. I am thinking a vacuum issue, but am unsure? The turbo is just over 1 year old and all the work was done by a reputable tuner. No fault codes logged. Any thoughts, and and help greatly appreciated!

Pete
