Featured Replies

Spent all of the bank holiday weekend keeping her shiny for the great weather at the moment!

And just to add.. Completely recommend the Meguiars Dual Action G220v2! One of the best purchases to date!

Nice job.

Did you use the polisher to polish and to seal/wax...or just to polish?

Thank you!

I had to get some shallow scratches from the bonnet due to some footballs being kicked around in a "car park".. so only polished the bonnet with the machine. Then used it to apply some Megs speed glaze and finally some NXT liquid wax

And to add I always try my best to avoid any imperfections like swirl marks using the TBM washing and wooly mitts, snow foam, using new clean cloths on each panel etc.. unfortunately there were still very slight swirls on some panels :(

Yeah, I have the same problem with swirls. I don't know where they came from...its a new car and I also use the TBM. I recently bought the same polisher and used it to polish (AG SRP) and to wax (Collinite 845). In future though I think I will polish with the machine but wax by hand.

It's a killer feeling when you try your hardest to avoid them, and they still appear.. maybe I just don't have the touch that ChrisRS and the other professionals have! Yeah I've used it to apply AGSRP and 845 and also again worked a treat! Also applies a very even coat which is great for the likes of SRP where if it lays too thick, it's a bugger to buff off!

LOL...I'm not a professional

I really dont like AGSRP at all

I never use it

Just get some GTechnik P1 and go around the car with that instead...

You will remove lightscratches and swirls rather than fill them and cover you car with dust!!

I used the last of the AGSRP up now and never going to buy it again.. that P1 is such good stuff, great either by hand or by DA! Would like to try some new products along the seal/ glaze/ wax routes.

Got some Megs NXT liquid wax which i used today, also have some collinite 845 and AG HD wax..

Was going to say, I've waxed by hand today and noticed some swirls. Mind you, I've also been using AG SRP and AG Hard Wax

Well it's that time of year again.. well time for the winter preparation and protection! So I thought i'd add some more pictures of this weekend so far.

Apologies for the low res pictures.. Can't wait to get a decent camera in the future.

There are always too many discounts and offers on new products even though I hardly use the shelf full I have now!

Started off with Valet Pro PH Neutral Snow Foam, followed by a full car spray of Wax Tec Fallout V2, followed by a further rinse and snow foam.

Then with another new purchase of the Carbon Collective Wooly Mitt and some very foamy and slick DD-Lave Shampoo I gave it a once over.

Tomorrows tasks are to use some Zaino Z-2 Show Car Glaze Sealant and Multiple layers of Collinite 845 on the bodywork.

Wheels coming off and using some Slickrims Wheel Sealant.

Gtechniq G1 on the glass.

Waxoyl on the sills where they are damaged.

Will post the rest of the pictures up tomorrow and if there are any further steps I can take or any advice, I would really appreciate it!

Brilliant work mate

Well done!!!

BTW..........I would only add a maximum 2 layers of Collinite providing they were an hour + apart

Wax layers must be allowed to fully cure before you add another coat or you just mix in with the last one and don't layer at all
