Dash Glare

Featured Replies

Having done over 2000 miles and loving the car, I have noticed 1 thing that is still bugging me.

Whenever its bright sunshine my dash reflects badly onto the windscreen. It almost causes a full glare sometimes meaning I can't see where I going. I've tried white paper on the dash and that slighty cures it but it looks daft.

Has anyone else had this issue and how did they resolve it???

Thought it was just me as no one else had mentioned it! Have only had the car 3 weeks, so haven't had much bright sun, but did notice it a couple of times and it was distracting. Not sure I would be bothered with faffing about with paper, so would be interested to know other people's experiences too.

Hi I am from Scotland whats sunshine?? :sun: Have you tried moving the seat up or down ? I found this helped in a couple of car I've had.

Derek

Thanks Derek, but I like the seat high up and I've got it just where I want it. I'll probably just get used to it - I maybe notice it more because it is new.

I've also set my set how I want it. It took a few miles to find the right spot but now got glare.

I'm thinking it may be some kind of cleaning product used before I picked the car up as most cars I sit in at work don't have the glare.

If this weather stays I think ill try and clean the screen and see if that removes any glare.

One of the things that put me off the Up! in favour of the Citigo is the glossy dash in the Up!

Have to say I've never experienced glare in the Citigo, perhaps because I'm short.

Black felt or suede across dash top would absorb the light.
