fabia vrs mk2 maps

Featured Replies

Alright guys , just a quick post to ask about your experiences of stage one mapping your cars and if/where its worth having it done?

Cheers

Chris

Worth getting done if you want a little more performance and are happy to maybe have no Manufactures Warranty on the Engine.

APR, REVO, or whoever, or a Tuning Box, its what ever you fancy really.

Ive had 3 companies map my vRS. Shark, Jabba and APR.

Id recommend Jabba and APR to others as a great option for tuning their vRS if you are going to get it done. Far to many issues with REVO tuned cars for me to go with them and their aftersales is often very poor in the event of an issue.

Personally, I think these cars really need the extra power, they feel sumewhat gutless in the mid to late region of the powerband, however, given the issues with this engine in std guise with il and piston problems, its certainly a risk remapping this engine. Whilst im not an advocate of tuning boxes and believe a good remap will run rings around them, I would say that on the 1.4TSI the tuning box is the best option for more power as it can be removed without trace in the event of an engine issue so you retain your warranty.

I was just about to link your pinned thread.

so here it is.

Just a small point on the Tuning Box,

its little use being able to remove it if you have an Engine Failure & need Roadside Assistance/recovery,

say on a Motorway and do not get the Box off first.
