Hi All,

Basically the main battery has died on my MK1 07 Fabia vRS Diesel.

It needs replacing so can anyone recommend a decent, and not too expensive, battery that is sufficient for my car. I am in the process of selling the car so i dont really want to spend loads.

Potential can of worms as late® VRSs had a different, slightly smaller battery.

Battery code should be 027 for the later model. Earlier (e.g. mine) had a model 096 battery.

I would try TAYNA for the battery if you can wait a couple of days for delivery. Otherwise, try Eurocarparts with the Briskoda discount code - BRISK25.... or any better 30% or maybe 35% code you can find.

Mine is an April 2007 Fabia vRs and is now fitted with an 096 battery. That battery fits in the battery tray OK, but the thermal jacket from the OEM battery is too small to fit all the way around the 096,

I got a good deal from Bristol Honda for an 096 thro ebay recently approx. £55 delivered I think --- Varta

Battery is now ordered so I can look forward to trying to fit it when it arrives which will involve grazed knuckles and a lot of swearing !!
