First Service Already?

Featured Replies

Have had car since December. Have 5500 miles on clock, but car is now saying 700 miles to service. What is going on? It's supposed to be either Dec this year or 10,000 miles. Oil levels etc seem fine and I drive it normally. I average 41 mpg on the 2 ltr diesel.

What service protocol are you on? Fixed or on-demand?

Looks like fixed DEC - DEC or 10000, very strange. Possible computer problem, I would take it to the vet and get them to check it.

If it is on "on demand" then lots of short journeys could drastically reduce the mileage.

But agreed, a word with a good dealer might be a good idea.

We are on demand with a fair number of short journeys and it says it will be due in 400 miles time at 18000 when two years old. Very happy with that and I changed oil and filter at 9000 (my decision)

I have not been told what I am on, Going by the hand written sticker on the inside of the driver's door, I would presume it is fixed. "Next service Dec 2013 or 10,000 miles"

It's weird. My average trip is 20 or so miles on a mix of roads. Got it booked in at Griffin Mill next week for a check on diagnostics.

Have a look on the inside page of your service book and look for the code QG1 or QG0.If its QG1 you are on variable servicing,QG0 is fixed.Or if you have the oil temp' readout on your maxidot that normally means you are on variable serviceing.
