Good evening all.

Im struggling with this problem, ive found little out looking around the net.

Anyway, the heater on the Octavia works fine, i have full control over the temparature and speed of the fan. However, i cannot change the direction of the fans, it changes from windows to feet and will recirculate the air but i cannot get the air to blow directly at me.

When i change the setting, I can hear the motor turn, and the air stops blowing on the window screen and just goes straight to my feet (after a couple of secs).

Has/is anyone else struggling with this?

Sounds like the motorised flaps are not working correctly. Do a diagnostics check using the climatic control buttons as described in this thread http://www.briskoda....ivity&mid=24068

There are other threads on this subject, some showing how to fix it, that you can find through the search feature.

yes if the flaps arent working, you have to decide if you want the effort of fixing, to get to the matrix and airbox properly you need the dash out, its a BIG job!

A lot just live with the issues, you never know, it may be minor and fixable without the dash being out.

on the plus side...i have a spare setup for sale if needed!

Thanks very much for the help guys, gonna keep looking around to see if anyone has put a thread together on how to do it. but gonna have think and maybe just live with it. its just getting so warm now, and i can only get cold ankles!
