Hi All

My ABS light has came on and wont go off, the manual says contac skoda but my bank says DIY.

Any one shed a light on to wat may be the cause of this?

See if there is someone near you with VCDS who could scan the car for fault codes for you.

Look at the list/map in the diagnostic forum.

And if there isn't anyone near you to help, you might want to do what I did.

Buy the lead shown at http://www.gendan.co...ct_VAGUSB.html and use the free VCDS lite software

Mine turned out to be a damaged front left sensor.

Now I will be able to use it for other problems as well. Best £20 I've spent in a while.

Mine is a 2002 car though. The ad says up to 2003

Most likely a wheel speed sensor but worth checking on VCDS first

I had the same - sensor wire wasn't clipped in properly and ripped out of the connector.
