Featured Replies

Hello im new to this but my Skoda Fabia 2003 wont start . I got one key an the key its lockin and unlocking perfectly but wont start the car . When i put it a liite icon with car and key its showing .

Ive read some information and most of them are saying that i need to reprogram the key .

Can someone help me because there is no way to move the car ?

You have an immobiliser fault. It could be the codes, the sender loop in the steering column, or the transponder in the key.

VCDS time to find out which.

Ive just checked the key and it working , the guy said that may be the steering column.

How does the sender loop looks and do you know how to fix it ? Thanks

See the black ring around the metal housing for the key? That's the sender loop. As far as I know you can't fix them per se you need to replace it, IF, and it's a big IF, (without the proper diagnostic equipment), it is not doing it's job.

Basically it's guesswork without plugging it in to VAG 1551/2 and the variations thereof. VCDS etc....

There maybe a wire from the loop to the wiring loom you could check if it has been damaged or has come adrift and that's about as much as the layman can do without a laptop and the correct leads to determine if there is a fault.
