where is that about chris?have you had it done and if so whats it like.Like i said before i would like to know if your warranty is voided.I know technically it is but will the dealer ever know?

I've not had it done but I've heard very good things said about them :D They have a banner ad and a forum on here so you should be able to see what they can offer you......

As for warranty, yes it is voided but it depends how your local dealer handles it .... they will know it is remapped if they drive it :D

Yeah true.Going by what they were like yesterday when i went for a service they wont entertain it.Do you think its worthwile phoning them and asking them what their views are on remapped vrs's.Cheers.

Dealers wont give you warranty on engine and clutch, mainly. They may be more relaxed about other junk which is unrelated to the modified part of the car.

Hard to be sure.

The biggest problem IMHO generally is the insurance. If you can get the insurance though, you should be ok :)

You could ask them how the warranty would be affected by a remap, eg if you had a problem with the ARB would they say the car was modified so they wouldn't fix it, or they would say it's a standard part which has failed. Also bear in mind, that if the service manager leaves, their policy may change!

At the end of the day, you've got to look at worst case and say if the engine breaks, can you afford to fix it yourself.....? :D
