whats best for vrs tdi allard or darkside and what else do i need please

I bought allard. the quality seems good but you need to be prepared to have the engine warning light on your dash or have it mapped out which I dint think is made very clear in other posts

Is there any real mpg gains by doing this mod?

Really, I thought it was quite clear that a light would come on.

Not very clear. It doesn't say for example in the instructions that came with my delete pipe nor on the guide that you will "need to be prepared to map your EGR out".

Granted it doesn't come with the product but even the (sometimes awful) briskoda search function found me a wealth of information by typing "egr delete"

Not a dig at all, please don't take it that way but sometimes the Fabia 1 section is just a re run of; pd160 intake, cubby hole, elephant mod and egr delete threads. I haven't fitted an egr delete and even I know it results in a eml.
