Fabia VRS knocking noise

Featured Replies

Hi

Have discovered a knocking noise when going over pot holes etc on Off-side front (drivers side) have checked all suspension components/bushes (console bushes changed 10k miles ago) which all seem fine, replaced drop links too. just can't seem to get to the bottom of the problem, have recently upgraded to 312mm brakes but that shouldn't have an effect ....

Really can't think of anything else, can anyone shed some light??

ARB bushes or top mounts then.................

How long ago did you do the drop links. Possibly i dud one. I've had dud drop links before that lasted me a week. Only use genuine now as they last longer.

changed them yesterday, ill try arb bushes but they look in decent nick, sometimes there's a little knock when applying brakes if that helps??

Maybe wishbone rubbers then. Im not 100% on Labia's as only had mine 6 weeks. If it was a Vauxhall i'd go for wishbones. Get under it by the suspect wheel to see where the play is coming from, may need a mate to help with this. I changed a wishbone on an Omega recently for doing the same thing but its always nice to rule out the cheapest options 1st.

Check the bonnet catch I was 100% sure mine was from the front suspension and it was the bloody bonnet catch ! Costs nothing to check
