Happy new owner of a Fabia vRS estate

Featured Replies

Finally, after waiting a few weeks for a new factory build, i have my silver dream machine :-). It's even better than the one i test drove with the new design steering wheel etc.

Now, can anyone tell me the best way to flip the headlights to dip the other way? Deflectors? There doesn't seem to be the hidden silver lever next to the headlight bulb i saw explained in another thread.

And any advice on running in? The chap in the dealer told me to keep it under 2500 revs for 1500 miles to stop it being an oil-eater.

Welcome along...enjoy your new car.

Just follow the running in instructions in the manual .

Hi and welcome aboard.

Welcome aboard and enjoy - they're cracking little cars - the gearbox / engine combo is a perfect match.

Welcome to the forum.

I have never seen the latest vRS Estate in Silver, it would be good if you could post some pictures.

Maybe in the Fabia 2 section or the vRS Register.

I think the chap in the Dealers has never run in a vRS for 1500 miles and has not a clue.

The car would never be using the Turbo at below 2500 rpm.

You have a CTHE engine and there is no reason why it should use any oil other than you would expect under normal conditions.

Easy on the brakes & tyres for a few hundred miles & drive the car with an automatic box that changes up at between 2000 and 4000 rpm on Brittish roads and it will mostly be sitting at 2400rpm anyway apart under the occasional acceleration.

Or once you start to play.

Enjoy your new car.
