Seat doesn't always move to set position on door opening

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have an occasional problem with my drivers seat memory set position not working when I unlock/open the door.

As those of you with electric seats may know, you can program the seats to go to a particular position dependant on which key you use to unlock/open the door.

What should happen is that when I unlock the door with my remote key and then open the door the seat should go to my pre-set position, and most of the time that happens.

However every now and then the seat stays in the position that it was before I opened the door, requiring me to shut the door, press the unlock again, then re-opening the door whereupon this time the seat does move to the correct position.

Not the end of the world, but a little frustrating and not as it should be.

Has anyone experienced this and if so was there a fix for it?

BTW, the distance that I am from the car does not make seem to make a different, (often I am close to the door and it still happens), nor does the amount of time between pressing the unlock button and opening the door.

My car is approx 11 months old and in the 11 months this is the only problem that I have found, other than my tendency too spend too much time cleaning it.

Thanks for any info,

Paul
