Gti Jazz Blue's 2011 Race Blue Octavia vRS

Featured Replies

Thought I aught to start a thread on here for my 2011 vRS, I bought it last July and am the second owner. Not the cleanest of pictures as I have managed to knacker my back - so car washing is out. Taken with my Galaxy SII

So far I've retro fitted a Columbus and OEM Module, installed Lamin-x on the headlights and fog lights, had it lowered on Eibach Pro Springs, OEM mudflaps front and rear, and installed vRS rear sill protectors (should have had them from the factory). I'm having a Whiteline Rear ARB installed on Friday.

Standard options installed include :-

Auto Lights and Wipers.

Front and Rear Parking sensors.

16" steel full size spare.

TPMS.

Things to do :-

ICE install from the Columbus

De-Chrome the front grill

Retrofit Maxidot and MFSW

Starting getting together the bit for the ICE install, MiniDSP (http://www.minidsp.com/products/minidspkits/2-x-in-4-x-out) ordered so that I can run an active front end again.

I have the Line driver ready Audiocontrol LC2i High Grade Line Level Convertor (http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/audiocontrol-lc2i-high-grade-line-level-convertor.html) with the remote bass control.

Silent Coat Bulk Pack (http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/silent-coat-mat-bulk-pack.html)

Already have Series 1 Focal Utopia 165W componants removed from my old A3.

Just need my back to sort itself out so that I can start the install.

Whiteline Rear ARB is on - not had a chance to give it a good workout but all feels good and planted, can feel a bit of body flex from the shell though. May have to find a rear brace to tie the rear.

MiniDSP has arrived so well on the way to having everything in place to start the ICE install. Good bit of kit hooked it up to my laptop and have set the basic cross-over points, the interface seems simple to use.

MiniDSP setup screens - looks quite straightforward to use :-

Looks like a nice and versatile unit, can't wait to get programming it when it is in place.
