Favour needed! (Boot dimensions, hatch and estate)

Featured Replies

Hi there,

Thought this would be the best place to ask this. I'm looking at upgrading from my fabia comfort combi to something with a slightly larger boot, With my budget its going to be a mk1 or a VERY cheap mk2. I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to get the tape measure out and find out the dimensions for:

Boot floor to parcel shelf (or estate equivalent)

Back of seats to boot opening (measured along boot floor)

Width (both between wheel arches and at wider point if possible)

IF I can get these for both the estate and hatch it would be great! Currently the fabia's boot is full to the brim and work have just given me even more equipment to carry.

Thanks in advance for anyone who can help (or point me in the right direction!)

Cheers

Rob

Width is 39 inches

40 tight as fook at the arches i know that

And off top of my head i beleve its 21

But 19 is in head to mate

19 im sure was something :D

It may be the max height of a box to allow shelf to lift lol

Defo 40 wide at the arches :D

A 6'2 person can get in there with no subs and u can shut the boot :D

I think its a good 3ft from seats to back of boot mate

It fitted a quinny buzz and a phil n teds vibe with wheels on

Plus 12" lol

U can get a 6'2 person in there wrapped in a carpet and u can shut the boot :D

Corrected that for you :bandit:

Back on track, I have an original brochure for the mkI upstairs somewhere I think that has proper dimensions in it.

Found the brochure, I'll try and remember to scan in the relevant pages at work tomorrow and upload them.

Hehe ssssssh :)

Although i do have lots of cable ties in there mwu ha ha ha

And a roll of duc tape

U never know ;)
