  1. Just FYI, if your lights are lighting up the large signs (you know, the ones well above any head height when driving) then they probably aren't 'really great' for anyone within 800yards of you, especially if it makes them too bright
  2. Buna Ziua @Sneffex , lovely choice of car in the Superb, also liking the colour choice in the violet. Hopefully it'll survive the Bucharest roads unharmed! (Going by the vehicle registration it is Bucharest right? BR for Brasov? Most of my friends over here were from the north so all MM plates!)
  3. If going for "new" cars then I agree the F-type would fit, if you would rather go for a bit more comfort, then its longer old brother the XK would fit. Very comfy, room for even tall ones, lots of space in the boot for suitcases Most comfort was probably the convertable as it runs softer springs (though a bit less relaxed on the engine side with 500bhp!)
  4. No emergency cover on the home insurance @skomaz? Should cover getting that fixed so at least you can have some heat! Either that or run all the PCs in the house on stress tests to make some makshift fan heaters
  5. I'd definitely recommend making a personal note of the meds you've had so far that you've reacted to. The amount of times in my old job I heard experiences of it not being noted down on medical records (or just plain ignored) next time anti-biotics were needed!
  6. Slight side-topic question. But have they got a solution apart from GSM based alarms? (Used to work in the personal alarm sector myself dealing with Tunstall, Tynetec, Doro and Legrand)
  7. Meant to be having the windscreen on the Van replaced today. Told last week (when booked) that it would be in the afternoon and I'd get an ETA at some point in the day. Still hadn't heard anything by 2:30pm so gave them a ring.... "Oh, we can't do it in the rain unless we can put it indoors, do you have a double-garage?" At no point was weather mentioned as an issue, especially as 99% of places now have lean-to/gazebo type things. And aparently the car-port isn't good enough. Got the MOT booked for Tuesday and re-arranged work planned this afternoon to get it done. Why they couldn't either mention bad weather stopping things when it was booked, or at least ring this morning to cancel is beyond me. Were they expecting me to just wait till 5pm then assume they were coming another time??
  8. Is this the estate Im sure I saw somwhere over on AS??
  9. Had one of these once... "im calling about your recent car accident" "ahh yes, tell me more" "did you have any injuries?" "I suffered severe memory loss" "anything else?" "i cant remember" "when was the accident" "What accident?" "The accident you had" "Ahh yes, I had memory loss" etc etc etc till they got so confused they put the phone down...it was a fun 10mins
  10. Strange, as they never (or very rarely) sell it in their shop or at the cafe on the estate...........must be too posh for the likes of us commoners....
  11. Looking good Gaz. Been pondering over getting solar in the next year or so, seeing your generation vs consumption (which is close to what we use, albeit slightly higher than us) does make me think it'd be worth it with a decent battery. Would be stuck with a 3.6kw inverter though as a lot of homes here have solar and i reckon if i go anything bigger, then its gets into that nasty "upgrade the power network" situation to feed back to the grid at over 3.6kwh😬
  12. Not quite norfolk. But Fen View Motors in March (just past kings lynn...ish) would be my recommendation. Took my cars to Steve since the day he opened, he was trained as a Skoda tech up until he started the garage. Always given good service and went above and beyond. Also uses a garage 100yards down the road to do MOT's, so the testers wont make stuff up as there is no money in it for them (Steve is a smart cookie as you may have guessed) https://www.facebook.com/FenViewMotors/
  13. Sounds wonderful! Hoping to head over to Adelaide next year, you'll have to send directions to this place
  14. Lets see if I can get around the filter... auto sh i te .com another forum full of people who love projects like this!
  15. auto****e.com I have posted a link to here @Boomycol there are some who would love it but can't make the 1 week deadline, one guy did mention maybe being able to pick it up next week though if you could hold onto it a tiny bit longer? EDIT: Thought the auto-censor might catch me out there
