Hi Chaps,

Does anyone know which grade of gearbox oil is used in the Octy vRS? (02 model), im thinking about changing it as i dont think its been done yet. my car has done 51k miles. Also not sure the capacity, i think its probably around 2 litres, is that assumption correct? would like to use synthetic oil to make gearchanges a bit smoother.

Autodata CD2 lists gearbox oil as 75W-90 Synth and capacity as 1.9 litres. Silkolene Syn5 75W-90 has been mentioned recently as being suitable. Have a read of the thread below:
