I parked up for lunch today no problems noticed before turning the ignition off, when I came back the eng management light, power steering and ABS light were permanently light. This was complimented by intermittent power steering. Turned ignition off, waited a few moments whilst panicking, started the engine again and car was fine, just had engine management light on.

Took it in to the dealers who then proceeded to hook it up to their VAG COM, which reported that I didn

Hi, sorry to hijack your thread, but my engine maganement light came on last week for a day, then has come back today, I think the temperature guage maybe working intermittantly when the light is on, maybe? Is the only thing I can do take it to the dealer? will they charge? Its a 2001 1.4 8v Classic

Cheers.

PXH there is a modified ABS ECU to sort a ABS related problem on the vRS, your dealer should look into this.

P0116 - 35-00 - -
