Rear wind deflectors, keep them how they are or remove?

Featured Replies

I fitted all 4 wind deflectors and managed to snap a bit off one of the rear ones, to avoid breaking the other side as well, i managed to fit them both the opposite way around, so the one on the drivers side rear door should be on the passenger rear door

They are securely fitted with clips and double sided tape

but they just don't like right to me, i can either keep them how they are or remove the rears and keep the fronts, what do you guys think??

The reason why i can't just take them off and swap them around is because of how i put the double sided tape on, if i put them both on the correct sides, the table is visible as you look at the car directly from the side, which bothers me more lol, also trying to remove them will probably damage them even more........

I put mine on the wrong sides aswell lol. Changed them with no problem though. And you can see the tape on mine too, think it's how they are tbh

I'd rather keep them like this then have the tape visible though

I don't mean the that sticky stuff that is on them when you buy them, i've added my own and it's really strong, so removing it will be more hassle and there's a lot more chance of them breaking them

Remove them all (inc fronts) or buy a new set of rears.

I don't need a new set, i'm going to either leave them as they are or keep the fronts on only

At the moment it isn't really bothering me, just wanted to know what people on here thought.

You can't really tell unless you're up close

Personally it'd drive me mental. But who cares, its your car!

Yes me too.

Anyone with a fabia will know they are wrong. They look odd too.

It is actually annoying me now, i'll buy your set!

Take them all off IMO, or just get new rears :)

Use some heat to remove them and once you've got them off, use heat to remove the glue too.

It would drive me mad to be honest. I have the full set on mine and am considering taking the rears off as it may look better with just the fronts..hmm

D'oh! Fit them the right way around. Use hairdryer heat and maybe solvents to soften the glue.

Also consider B pillar covers... Or make some from vinyl. Just not the carbon look ones, OK. :)

Yes to B pillar covers!

Not really a coincidence considering I took mine off over a week ago. But if you choose to think that you are allowed to :)

This is now fixed

took the rears off, scraped all the double sided tape off with a knife and put the back on the right way around

looks much better now, and less noisy

They suit the Fabia but not the majority of 5 door cars

I've seen them on a 5 door Astra H SRI and they looked good

but then you'll have somebody who has put them on a 7 Series BMW and ruined it
