Hole left by speaker in the ancillary door panel

Featured Replies

Hey all. I'm getting water leaking out the bottom of the door cards into my front sills in my 05 fabia vrs. The water is coming through the whole left by the oem speaker that has been drilled out and removed any ideas on what I cud do to fix this problem.

Glue something over the hole

Thought about that but the after markets r on the door card so I'd be left with a hole there lol

Clive on here (C13URD) had the same problem! He put some old chinese take out containers in the holes and sealed round them with silicone. Sorted it out a treat! Lol

Brilliant Matt cheers dude I had no idea what to use I'm definitely gonna give that a go lol I'm taking it that it was the foil containers he used ?

Flashing tape :)

Cheap from the roofing or rainwater goods section of Wickes etc. Warm it with a hair dryer and use a used beer bottle as a roller.

Nah, was the round white plastic ones the rice comes in! Also they give enough room to have the backs of the speakers in them when fitted into the doorcards. (He also had speakers cut into the doorcards rather than behind them in the original place)
