Can I fit a Bolero head unit in the Roomster

Featured Replies

I currently have the Dance head unit but I hate the fact that the ipod integration is a 3.5mm jack and this sounds lousy compared to my old sony head unit which had an ipod connector and full ipod integration when connected.

I would like to confirm a few things before I buy though.

1. Is the dashboard aperture the same for both the Dance Radio and the Bolero Radio? (they look identical but i just thought i'd check)

2. This is a more specific Roomster question - i have got the maxidot installed in the Roomster but it seems to have a limited functionality with regards to the information displayed coming from the Radio (the top two lines only). This differs from other maxidot displays I have seen both in other Skodas, VWs and Seats. So I was wondering if anyone knows if the Bolero will talk to the Roomster type maxidot and also if it may give the maxidot any extra display functionality. I also would like to know if the Bolero will work with the head unit controls on the steering column.

Any advice much appreciated.
