Previous Fabia 11 (07 on) were marked 1,2 and 3. Newr versions are now SE, SE plus and Elegance. At least I think thats right. Then there are others such as 'sport' and 'greenline'

I had the mark 1 version with this engine, really good. Belt and water pump seem to be the main items to keep an eye on.( If they haven't done the belt yet I'd ask them to change the water pump at the same time) Other than that as long as it has a decent history they seem to be pretty bomb proof at that mileage.

Sorry man I wasn't aware of that. I thought pre 07 was mk1 and after was mk2. I thought mine was a mk d2 sport hence the confusion. I didn't realise their were also models too

I see so the mk1's had ie trim level ambiente elegance & comfort irc mines the comfort on 03 plate

I had a Fabia 3 1.9 diesel before my present Fabia petrol. Great car. Apart from a blown foglight bulb, never gave me any problems. Loads of grunt and I was getting about 53 mpg in the real world. Enjoy it.
