Has anybody made there own cone in a box kit?

Wanting to no if people have actualy bought 1 if they have felt any differance in pick up or noise as im tight as fook and im going to make me own at work £10 ebay filter and some plate job done

Perhaps you would get more noise but noise do not equate for more power the stock filter is perfectly adequate especially on diesels.

Ye this i no noise does not = power just want abit off a flutter and i aint takein the risk off it being sucked through thanks

I got half way through and didnt finish it. Only needed cone fixing to the template and done bit the more I looked into it the more I thought its going to be no difference to a panel filter.

Joe i was waiting for u 2 pipe up lol new you would be the man that would try this well ive got the plate just waiting for a filter only doing it out off bordom at work lol

Wont sound much different to a panel mate, I have a Jabba one fitted with PD160 intake and about to swap it out for a cone to see what difference if any I get noise wise lol.

Over standard filter you will get slight more noise when making progress but nothing you will really notice unless you have got other modifactions.

I have a jabba sport cone in a box makes a little bit of noise and you can hear it sucking haven't really notice any power gain only brought this because this happened to my standard one

i saw your post about this. Ove decided to make my own before i have it remaped to remove the chance of this.

Some have, not many but a couple. IMO start with a Honda S2000 filter or similar and figure how to box it.

Also IMO you're not going to notice a great difference if running the original turbo.

Im going for Apexi (a bit more expensive than most but has been proven to be one of the cleanest filters. Should ensure tubby survives.
