Part number for Dash panel

Featured Replies

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could help me with the following issue:

I would like to buy a second hand dash/instrument panel to exchange for the present one in my Fabia I. I know that the new dash panel needs coding at a Skoda dealer, but that is fine (it has to do with the immobiliser that is causing trouble....) Does anyone know the part number for the dash panel, as I would like to find it over the internet. I drive a Skoda Fabia Classic 1.4 MPI (no diesel) 2002 with manual transmission. Is there a general one for all Fabia MKI or do I need to phone up my Skoda dealer to ask specifically? Anyone know where to get one relatively cheaply?

Also, apologies if this is not the correct part of the forum where to post this issue, I was unsure about this.... Thank you very very much in advance for any help.

There are usually a few on sale on eBay for not a lot of money due to the coding issue. Search for fabia instrument panel. Should bring them up

Thank you for yours answer. Is there only one instrument panel for all Fabia MKI with manual transmission or are there more and do I need to pay attention?

Phoned up the Skoda dealer today and they told me they were not allowed to give out the part number....does anyone know if the instrument panels are standardised (apart from the VRS) or are there differences? Thank you in advance.

Suggest ask car salvage/breakers company where to look for parts number.

You could then look at your own dash panel for your part number.

Yes, that would be an option. However, I am a little reluctant to remove it myself (although there are only two screws...)

2 screws give it a wiggle and unplug the 2 plugs on the back.

Simples :)

It will be different between diesel and petrol, and the design changed with the facelift in late 04/05 I believe

done! Was easier than I expected! As I now have the part number, I should be able to find a corresponding one on the internet....thank you!
