Cleaning wheel hubs

Featured Replies

After a recent trip to the local hand car wash (I know, I know) I noticed some rusty deposit run off on my wheel hubs. I think it is run off from the brake disk edges but its quite stubborn. Any idea how to clean through the gaps in the alloys without the ballache of removing the wheels as I'm very busy on my house at present.

Thanks

Adam

Try some IronX or similar product

Took the wheels off in the end as there was not sufficient access through the spokes. Used rust cleaner and it worked fine. Was careful to keep disks clean and dry.

So a bit of rain and the hubs have rust stains on them again. As I think its run off from the disks I assume painting them with Hammerite won't help.

Do others have any suggestions to keep their hubs clean please?

Thanks in advance
