The turbo one has to come from Forge as it's a high temp one but I'm torn between the SFS one or making my own on the bottom pipe to the cooler. What's your plan?

Sharpy, where did you get your solid pipe from?

I was lucky enough to find it on eBay for a bargain price of £3, it was a one off though. I know Pepper Performance (you can find them on Facebook) do them in stainless ally, just send them a message or call them. You're looking for 75 degree mandrel bent 51mm (2") pipe.

Maybe not... http://www.viperperformance.co.uk/productsearch.php?xscId=9828&mat=120950

...But as the Forge one comes with the appropriate couplers, would probably be cheaper just to spend the £80 on the Forge.

good work! looking forward to seeing the results!

Yeah I've seen the forge one, to be honest mate I think the hardest bit will be the steel 90 degree bend that comes off the 90 bend out the intercooler it's like a sharp tight bend straight up will be a right fart on with silicone I might try taking it to pieces sometime next weekend see what I'm going to need or get a rough idea

I think the bottom ninety degree is a huge design failure on the vrs.

only other option would be putting a silicone hose around the exterior of the intercooler inlet and pipe back from there.

I bought a bit of silicone to do this but the outer diameter of the metal pipe is too small

Forge is on my list of next to buy mate then I will replace the 90 degree intercooler pipe with the one from SFS as described below in your original thread..

Just googled the part number for the 90º bend, and found this on seatcupra forum.

So for £48 that has to be cheaper than making your own?

So that should replace pipe '2'

That alongside new seals and clips can only help the situation. Also going to clean the whole intake/intercooler and do the elephant mod at the same time, I've got access to a local dyno as well so I'll show the befores and afters.

IIf you read that seat forum they knocked him one up but had to cut thepipe down shorter.. for ninety quid I think that's steep to have to cut it down shorter!

So they are, looks like I'm ordering another two couplers and a 90 degree bend. :)

you manage to get that working and I'll pay you to replicate it!
