Coilover, which ones?

Featured Replies

My jom coilovers rear shock absorber has gone, which gave me a hint that these coilovers have been on the car a while so what do I replace them with another set of joms which were alright considering I'm used to a classic beetle on the floor or go for the APs ? Any recommendations?

I went from FKs to APs and wouldn't look back, so much better :)

I have KW's but it depends how much you want to spend I guess. Heard many good things about the AP's for budgets.

I can't really grumble about my JOMs for the price, would be happy to have another set of them. How long have yours lasted?

Not sure really, they were on the car when I got it but I would say a good 20 to 30 thousand miles, I had Intetions of changing them just for piece of mind. Can't fault them though until now.

Wow, a friends KW's are coming up to 100,000 miles with no issues. I guess it depends on how long someone plans to keep a car to a extent.

For price AP, great quality, ride and handling is class too, £385 off GNJ motorsport

If budget allows then the AP kit is a good option but for the money the JOM kit is good value.
