hi there i have searched the site but cannot find the answers i need so was hoping someone would know.

i am trying to remove the ecu as it needs replacing, i have taken the scuttle panel off and even removed the wiper mechanism for easy access. the problem is i hear the ecu has to be unplugged before pulled out but i cannot do this as there is a sheild in the way of the pull out part on the small plug and no access om the large. the only guide i found shows the ecu facing straight out but mine the plugs are on the side. has anyone done this and can help please its loose but i just cant get it out

The sheild cover only exists because you have alarm.

It has to be cut using a disk machine.

Cut on one side as will come off, many makes have this
