Strange vibration

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Got a strange one here I shall explain; Roughly a week ago I finished work on nights and set off as normal. almost straight away (2nd gear, 20mph) I felt a vibration through my seat , so I immediately pulled over suspecting a flat tyre(it really felt like I was driving on a rim)

Jumped out checked all the tyres, all ok(they are all new anyway) so jumped back in and continued. The vibration was still there and when I got 30,40mph in 3rd still there but not quite as severe and upwards of these speeds it tails off.

Areas already checked- all tyres and wheels- no faults all balanced and required very little weight on them.

Brakes- fronts discs fine, pads new- Rears all ok no scoring etc

As much of the suspension as I can see nothing obvious and I know they are not rotating parts!

MOT done March 13 so I would hope bearings are ok??

So looking for help as to where to check next, driveshafts, flywheel??

Any advice or if someone has had a similar problems please get in touch

Cheers

Steve

Try swapping the tyres from front to back and see if it changes.
