  1. Generally the temp sensor is located close to, if not directly screwed into the thermostat housing as this is the closet place to the engine. In your pic this sensor is someway from this point and wouldn't give an accurate reading plus it's only held in with a clip, temp senders are normally threaded connections. I'd suggest whipping the engine cover off and look for where the stat housing is and go from there. They are usually quite small phyiscally with either a blue or green electrical socket but can also be grey with a brass hex head. Hope this helps Steve
