Featured Replies

Okay the previous owner had those stick on weights put on them but they left some glue and it is starting to bug me as i like the looks but black patches poke me in the eye...this is how it looks. Any tips?

Not sure what you'd get in the UK/Europe but here they sell some citrus-based stuff that's meant for removing sticky residue. I used it on mine and it brought the black stuff right off.

I did find scrape marks where the idiot tyre fitters had used a screwdriver to remove the old weights.

Thank you for the advice, will give it a try tommorow when i get back home. :)

I use Tar Remover - available in most motorist shops. Best ones contain toluene but harder to find.

Toluene, Xylene, Thinners, 3M No 2 Solvent, Acetone, Trichloroethylene...

All work great, but work fast and wash off well afterwards. :D

Even Isopropyl Alcohol will have a good go.

White Spirit works well, or Tar Remover :)
